Kishu-Kumano Distillery

Plum Foods Co., Ltd., was founded in 1969, established the Kishu Kumano Distillery in May 2019 became 50th anniversary since work for drinking water as a main business.　Barley malt, raw material, is imported from Canada and others, and the water for preparation is produced by the subsoil water from the Tonda River, and is left to stay in barrels such as Mizunara for more than three years. At the earliest in 2023, the prefecture “single malt whiskey” made at a single distillery will be able to be first released in Wakayama prefecutre.
