The Hakushu Distillery is known as the “Forest Distillery” and is located that flow clear stream of the Ojira River, designated by the Ministry of the Environment as the best quality water source all over Japani. The construction of a distillery surrounded by extensive forests was realized after many years of searching for lands in order to make Japanese whiskey that made use of the most for the blessings of Japanese nature. As a result of trial and error, a wide variety of single malt whiskeys were born, and It has come to fruition that “the desire to create a world-class whiskey that suits the delicate tastes of Japanese people”.
