A town calld Niseko Town is in the vicinity of Niseko Annupuri, is blessed with a cool climate and fine water suitable for making whiskey. Hakkai Brewery which owns the distillery, is a company that produces sake such as the refined sake “Hakkaisan” and the shochu “Yoroshiku-Senman-Arubeshi”. The distiller is intrduced made by Forsyth, and initial distillation use the straight type and the re-distiller use bulge type. In 2022, mainly It has been selling gin, and “ohoro GIN” which means to continue in the Ainu language, won the silver prize at the Tokyo Whiskey & Spirits Competition (TWSC). The whiskey is anticipated to be released after 2024, and it is expected it in the future.
