Kanosuke Distillery – Komasa Brewery

Kanosuke Distillery started operation in 2018. The name of kanosuke Distillery comes from the name of the second-generation head of the distillery, Kanosuke Komasa. The distillery is located on a vast site of about 9,000 square meters along Fukiagehama on the west coast of Kagoshima Prefecture. The two-story distillery set unique three pot stills, as opposed to the two pot stills commonly found in smaller distilleries. The three pot stills have different neck shapes and line arm angles for each. Using the three pot stills properly and blending, it is possible to create a whiskey with a richer flavor and aroma. Their principle is “Making Japanese whiskey richer and more mellow”
